Aave Rolls Out New Governance Framework to Speed Up Proposals
Aave DAO adopts a new governance framework, cutting proposal timelines from 19 days to 13 while streamlining ARFC and AIP votes.
Aave’s decentralized autonomous organization has rolled out a new governance framework built for speed.
The update, called Governance Framework V2, was published by TokenLogic on behalf of the protocol. It trims the standard proposal timeline from 19 days down to 13.
Aave founder Stani Kulechov said the changes address markets that move faster than the old process allowed. The overhaul removes a long-standing step from the DAO’s voting pipeline entirely.
New Proposal Structure Streamlines Aave’s Governance
TokenLogic confirmed that the Temp Check stage no longer exists in the standard path.
Every proposal now opens with a business case instead. That business case becomes an ARFC, short for Aave Request For Comments. The ARFC stage gives the community a public discussion window before anything moves forward.
