Bitcoin dropped below $77,000 on Sunday, trading at around $76,725 โ a 0.80% decline. The cryptocurrency ended Saturday near $77,300 before slipping further in early Sunday trading.
Higher bond yields and expectations that interest rates will stay elevated are making dollar-denominated assets more attractive. This has kept pressure on Bitcoin and the broader crypto market.
CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost noted that Bitcoin market sentiment briefly climbed above 89 out of 100, entering what he calls โextreme greedโ territory. That is the highest reading since March 2024.
The last time we saw such a bullish market sentiment was in March 2024.
