From Pixels to Perfume: How WinSpirit Turned Player Emotions Into a Bottled Experience

Loyalty points, streak badges, tiered rewards — most engagement mechanics in online gaming have started to blur together. Players collect them, but rarely remember them. WinSpirit set out to test whether an emotion, not a mechanic, could be the reward instead. The answer turned into something you can actually smell.
A question instead of a promotion
The project, called Euphoria Lab, started from a deliberately open-ended brief: instead of running another bonus-driven campaign, WinSpirit’s team asked its own community a single question — what does a great gaming moment actually feel like? No mechanics, no leaderboard, no prize wheel attached to the answer.
Thousands of answers, one shared vocabulary
Over several weeks, thousands of players responded — and the brief they were given mattered. They were not asked to vote on a bottle design or a color palette.
