Alphabet’s Google stock (NASDAQ: GOOG) entered September with its longest monthly losing streak in over a decade. The four-month losing streak came after the search giant reached a yearly high of $408 in May. Since then, the equity has been unable to reclaim its lost territory and opened Monday’s trading session at $335. Fears are rife that GOOG could fall below the $299 level, leading to major losses for investors. Such a scenario would also put the AI market under the radar, leading to heightened volatility in the sector.

All is not lost for Alphabet’s Google stock, as the company has several advantages to show investors. Alphabet is leaning on the launch of Gemini 3.8 Flash to show that its AI services continue to advance. This is the third Flash model in six weeks, along with a new cybersecurity model sought by trusted government and enterprise customers. In addition, Berkshire Hathaway CEO Greg Abel offered a public vote of confidence for Alphabet’s AI dominance. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway has been the biggest institutional investor in Alphabet in 2026.
