XRP community receives urgent warning after new scam targets unsuspecting users
The XRPL Commons team issued a security warning directed at XRP users after detecting an increase in identity impersonation by malicious actors.
According to a statement published this Friday, scammers are posing as representatives of the organization to contact members of the XRP community through unsolicited direct messages.

We've seen an increase in scam attempts targeting our community.
XRPL Commons will never DM you first asking for money or financial info, and will never ask for your bank details, private keys, or seed phrase.
If someone claims otherwise, it's not us.

The entity clarified that it will never initiate a private conversation with users to request money, banking details, private keys, or seed phrases. Any message of this kind, regardless of who claims to send it, should be considered a fraud attempt. The organization urged users to immediately report any suspicious contact to the official team.
Additionally, they recommended not engaging with the senders of suspicious messages and proceeding directly to block and report the accounts involved, with the aim of limiting the reach of these operations.
